My dear mentor and friend Jane Manning with Jane's Minstrels perform my setting of three poems e.e.cummings. Dear Jane and her husband, composer Anthony Payne, passed away last year and are greatly missed by all who knew them.
Written while a was a Ph.D. candidate at the Eastman School of Music, my colleague Jeff Renshaw conducted the premiere with the Eastman Wind Ensemble.
This three movement orchestral work was premiered by the Duluth-Superior Symphony Orchestra and the Minnesota Ballet. The ballet danced in front of the orchestra!
